The Crocodile Hunter Lodge has been designed to reconnect guests with nature, and is home to beautiful native wildlife, with black cockatoos and kangaroos visiting most days. The Warrior restaurant overlooks a state-of-the-art home for our resident emus, kangaroos and koalas.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist with coordinating and training all Food and Beverage Attendants assigned to a designated space. They will ensure a high standard of customer service is met, and have a great understanding of all fine dining techniques of service. This customer facing role will have a high level of expectation to ensure that guests have a seamless and polished experience.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to problem solve, work collaboratively within a team and provide excellent standards of customer service. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Restaurant Manager and Warrior Manager in overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of the Front of House team and provide recommendations to daily operations on the restaurant floor.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in the absence of the individual, to ensure the operational requirements of their tasks are met.
- Provide insight, recommendations and advice in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager, to the Warrior Manager.
- Liaise frequently with the Back of House team to ensure execution of service meets the requirements of the Restaurant.
- Supervision of staff on the floor, and allocation of daily tasks to individual employees throughout the shift.
- Ensure all Customer Service standards are met.
- Lead and facilitate group and individualised training sessions for the Front of House team, surrounding all essential skill sets required to work collaboratively and meet requirements of their roles.
- Lead and facilitate specialised training programs and ensure appropriate support is allocated to the Bar, Mixologists and Supervisors within the Restaurant.
- Ensure a clean and friendly environment is provided to guests when they enter the Warrior Restaurant.
- Conduct and oversee services for the guests, including but not limited to; Reservations, Greeting and Seating Guests, Table Service, Checking-in, Providing Menu recommendations and ensuring their experience meets the Warrior Standards.
- Generalised monitoring of staff rosters, performance and staff grievances, providing recommendations to the Restaurant Manager and Warrior Manager when concerns are raised.
- Act as a point of contact on the floor for general staff enquiries, guest complaints and any ad-hoc events.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment
- Experience within a supervisory position
- Full availability, including weekends, evenings, public holidays and school holidays
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
